Lucas Grindley is President of Pride Media and oversees Out magazine, The Advocate, PRIDE, Out Traveler, and Plus magazine. Grindley is also editor in chief of The Advocate—which is nominated this year for a GLAAD Media Award for best magazine.
In 2016, NLGJA named Grindley as its Sarah Pettit Memorial Award winner for “LGBT Journalist of the Year.” He came to Pride Media in 2011 from Washington, D.C., where he was managing editor for online at National Journal magazine, covering politics and policy making.
Grindley was married in Washington, D.C. on the very spot where the district’s marriage equality law was signed, and he now lives in Beverly Hills with his husband and twin daughters. He also serves on the board of directors for Extraordinary Families, a non-profit helping to create more families like his through foster-adoption.
